I will be adding more, as M finishes processing them...
The first day, in Malibu. One of my favorites pictures ever... For me it perfectly embodies love, fun and carefreeness...
DOLPHINS!!! 10 feet from the shore!!!
My two men (notice the picture is less good since I took it...)
The littlest beach boy
Picnicking in La Jolla, near San Diego. LP was as happy as can be!
We rented a golf cart in Avalon, Catalina Island, a small mountaineous, preserved paradise 40 km off the coast (an hour-long boat trip from LA). LP enjoyed the ride and the view a lot, and sang songs all the way ("bateau-bateau-bateau, ballon-ballon-ballon-ballon, papa-papa-papa, maman!")
Camping in the desert, in Joshua Tree Park. It doesn't show in the picture, but I was really uneasy since we were on very high, steep rocks, I was certain that the camera would fall off, or worse, that LP would fall off (sorta rock climbing with a one year-old on your shoulders is probably not recommended in parenting books).
With my BFF Julie, as we rode off in her powder blue '63 convertible Corvair. For girls' night out she took me to Yamashiro, a Japanese old-timer place in the Hollywood Hills, where our arrival caused quite a stir (because of the car, of course!) The food was amazing, the view spectacular, and the place was full of wannabe rock stars and supermodels...
With writer and blogger Rebecca Woolf, who was even more awesome in person than in her fierce writing. Doesn't she look amazing? She's six months pregnant people!... And notice how tall she is, I'm not short and I was wearing platform espadrilles...
Funny how we both express ourselves through our kids' clothing! Because we were meeting her and I know she is so cool, I dressed LP in his killer camouflage cargo shorts and a Sex Pistols t-shirt I bought for him on Melrose the day before. She then told me she dressed her 3 year-old cutie pie Archer in a very French way for me (he was wearing navy shorts, a dressed-up white tank top and a cool cap)... By the way, Archer is out of the picture because he was fascinated by a store window full of stuffed pandas 4 feet away...
